John C. and Betty Jones, Church Advisor/Elder

John C. had been the pastor at MTC for over forty years when he fully retired at the end of 2009. His life work was to see the completion of the MTC/Myrtle Wilks Community Center that was completed in September of 2009 and dedicated January of 2010. Surrounded by many of his family and friends he celebrated his retirement on January 31, 2010. Now he and his wife, Betty, are able to travel with his family and focus on his travel writing. He has received letters of recognition from four presidents and two Texas governors during his pastorate of MTC

During his forty years of ministry, John C. had the opportunity to minister at many large national and international conferences and camp meetings. He also made many trips into the Amazon and Belize, as well as missions work in the South Pacific, China, Africa, Europe, Central and South America. He now serves as the Church Elder, in advisory capacity to the Executive Church Board, and Leadership Team.”

 

 

Philip and Lisa Green, Congregational Pastors

Phil Green is the Congregational Pastor of Mountain Top Church located in Cisco, Texas - reaching out to the region of West Texas and the world.

From an early age Phil has been involved in church ministry at some level. His family began a local church in Spring, Texas, when he was 8 years old.  After high school Phil attended Texas Bible College and from then until now has experienced leadership roles in church ministry. Phil was ordained as a minister in 1984 and has served as a Pastor for over 27 years leading people with a compassionate heart.

Phil has been married to his wife, Lisa, for 26 years and has 2 children, Lauren and Kyle.

Phil’s focus is to bring understanding of who God is thru practical living and practical speaking from God’s Word. He believes relationships in community are important to grow healthy relationships with each other and God. It is obvious that Jesus himself walked in community with those around Him through practical ways and that was what impressed so many to follow Him. Phil’s desire has been to follow Christ and lead as many to Him as possible using the same community based mindset. 

 

Eva Vickers, Assistant Pastor

Passionate to see God’s Word come alive in God’s people, Eva has ambitiously pursued God for His way, His Truth, His life, and His expression of Himself for this day.  Believing we should be carriers of His Presence into our daily lives, and knowing He desires to save, heal and deliver all - she preaches the Truth of God's Word that sets mankind free!  God’s Word is alive and even as in the beginning when God said “Let there be light” this dark chaotic void called earth was changed! Eva believes the Word of God teaches us we can change our dark and hard places thru the light of God’s Word and thru the Only Way, the Only Truth, and the Only Life – Jesus Christ!  Licensed and Ordained with Global Network of Christian Ministries and Assistant Pastor of MTC (Mountain Top Church), she invites you to, “Come enjoy the refreshing and breakthrough ministry of the Lord Jesus Christ."

 

Ross Tyler, Worship Pastor

Born and raised in Austin, Texas, Ross found Christ as a teenager at Lake Hills Church in Bee caves, Texas. Being a gifted musician, Ross served in the youth and adult music teams of LHC for 5 years. Through relationships at LHC recognizing Ross’s heart for worship he and a team established 2 startup churches in the Austin area that have been a great success. Ross recently married the love of his life, Lauren, and now serves as Worship Minister at Mountain Top Church in Cisco, Texas. Ross Tyler has a heart for creating a worship culture that leads others into a deeper relationship with Jesus and is gifted in networking with musicians.

Lauren Tyler, Worship Arts Pastor

Lauren was born in The Woodlands, Texas with a desire to sing. She loved to sing in church as a child and developed a heart for leading worship as a teenager in her church youth band. Lauren is a very gifted vocalist and songwriter. She has written numerous worship songs being used around the country. Trained in vocal coaching at the University of Texas' Butler School of Music, Lauren has led worship for many years in her local Churches - most recently at Gateway Church in Austin, Texas. She has recorded with various artists and performs and writes songs for a new worship band called 1211. Lauren currently leads worship with her husband Ross at Mountain Top Church in Cisco, Texas, developing a culture that inspires people towards God.

 

 

 

Cory and Michelle Heerlein, Student Pastors

Cory and his wife Michelle are relocating to Cisco from the Austin suburb of Leander. The couple have three small children; Kadin who is 6, Koen who is 4 and Ayla who just turned 1.

Born and raised in the Austin area, Cory and Michelle both attended local high schools and have served at many local churches over the years. Cory has been playing music professionally for almost 10 years and Michelle has had the blessed privilege of being a stay at home mom. They have both served as youth leaders, children's ministry leaders/volunteers, worship leaders, Mobile Loaves and Fishes coordinators/volunteers and ministry students.  They are very passionate about the pursuit of a personal love relationship with our Lord, Jesus Christ through all areas of ministry.  

Cory and Michelle, both at the age of 25, have become the new Youth Pastors for Mountain Top Church and will be starting in January of 2012. They are very excited about reaching out to the youth in Cisco and surrounding areas and bringing them into a place of worship where they can learn, grow, love, and live God's word.  They invite and encourage you to join them on Wednesday and Sunday nights at MTC.

 

 

     

Grace Sitton, Children's Pastor

Grace is the Pastor to our children's ministry. She works to encourage and inspire through the love of Jesus Christ to the area children. While growing up in the Philipines, she developed a love for children and the desire to spread the Good News of Christ to them. She moved to the United States where she currently is the director of the Cisco Head Start.

 

 

Danny Boyd, Outreach Pastor

Danny Boyd is the Outreach Pastor/coordinator for MTC.  He is a Cisco native, holds a journalism degree from the University of Texas at Austin, and is a graduate of Rhema Bible Training Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma, where he studied pastoral ministry. Before coming to MTC, Danny was an evangelism outreach leader at Rhema Bible Church in Tulsa and worked as a copywriter for Kenneth Hagin Ministries. He previously served as corporate communications manager for BOK Financial Corporation and worked for 14 years as a reporter for the Associated Press and newspapers in Oklahoma City and Amarillo. Danny’s passion is outreach to the community and helping bring community together through Jesus Christ. 

 

Staci Wilks, Church Administrator

Staci is the daughter of John C. and Betty Jones. She has many years of business experience and adds a much needed business mind to our team. She grew up at MTC and has worked in many areas of ministry. Her passion has been for the educational needs of the church. She worked many years overseeing the Children's Church and Sunday School classes. She still works teaching the children during our weekly church services. She helps us keep in budget and works hard to maintain a balance of Church, Business, and Community.
